Fortification or shelter?

¼ day trips visit the area of the historic Quarter Circle U Ranch.  Excellent views of the “eye” of Miners Needle and the Cathedral are visited.  An alternate trip up Barks Canyon off-trail is also offered.

½ day hikes include trips to the Geronimo Cave.  This is a challenging secondary trail hike that offers a little bit of everything:  route finding, rock scrambling, and a definite cardio workout.  Magnificent vistas, including the ultimate view of Weavers Needle, are the rewards for your sweat on this one.

Full day hikes take you to the top of West Boulder Saddle then on to “Robbers Roost”.  The trip down to Fremont Saddle and Peralta trailhead is breathtaking.  Cameras are a must.  This is a strenuous hike and not for the timid.
